What The Upper Crusters Might Say
The elites, the gentry, the upper class- not the common folk like me, they use phrases that the rest of us never do and never will.
Such phrases include the following:
Jeeves, bring the car around to the front
Anna, please draw the curtains in the ballroom
Oh Parker, call Lord Pinkney and inform him that we will be dining at 8 o’clock tonight
Clara, will you bring me some tea and then turn down my bed
Pascal, Id like you to prepare the wagyu beef, alba truffles, foie gras, and some beluga caviar for dinner. There will be 14 guests who are coming and please use the gold-plated flatware tonight.
On the other hand, the gentry will never be using phrases that we commoners use, such as the following:
I’ll change the cars’ oil after lunch
We don’t have the money for a vacation this year
I’m afraid that we might have to move in with my parents
John, please move the car into the carport
No, the elite will never have to say such things, and personally I can do without caviar and gold-plated flatware.
