DIRT
Dirt, yes dirt
Most people don’t spend nearly enough time in and around dirt
Away from the steel and concrete and other man made materials and synthetics that make up the structures in the cities and towns across America—when the only green you see is on a garment, your sofa, a friends eyes, lettuce, or paper money its not a good thing-its not a healthy thing—there is mounting research that asserts that getting out in nature-out into our national parks or even local parks where there are expanses of trees and bushes and other green things where the air is clean and where you might even see an animal in its natural habitat—yes, get out there and become acquainted with a river or a lake—and you wont be hearing the buzz of traffic or airplanes or construction or masses of other people yammering at each other
Time spent in nature is said to lower your stress level, improve your mood and readjust your attitude toward a more positive one--your brain chemicals balance and your amygdala quiets down
When you return to your city or town you will be in a better mood—you’ll probably be nicer to your family and friends and coworkers and to yourself
You might feel as if you are on something and you will be right—you will be on the consciousness altering effect of communing with nature—so get your duff out there and do yourself and those around you a favor.
